The Wedding Sales Manager will lead wedding and social event sales efforts at Pier One Sydney Harbour Autograph Collection, with a focus on creating exceptional client experiences and delivering unforgettable events. Success in this role involves building connections, executing impactful sales strategies, and collaborating with internal teams and external vendors. The role is based in Sydney, Australia, and offers a vibrant and rewarding work environment within the Marriott network.
Job Responsibility:
Be the go-to person for weddings and social events—managing the whole journey, from inquiry to event day
Lead sales strategies and business development to grow our wedding and social event space
Collaborate with creatives, vendors, and our dream team to bring ideas to life
Stay on the pulse of industry trends, guest vibes, and what makes an event unforgettable
Host and coordinate showcases and trade shows that spotlight Pier One’s magic
Identify new business to achieve personal and location revenue target
Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g, generation proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence)
Use knowledge of Market Trends and Target Customer Information to maximize revenue
Use your savvy to hit sales targets, while staying true to our core mission: delivering events that feel as incredible as they look.
Requirements:
2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Events, hotel and restaurant management, or related discipline
3 years of experience wedding and/or sales and marketing or related discipline
Demonstrated skills in adaptability, communication, problem solving and decision making and driven to achieve results
Think outside the box and have an open-minded personality.
