Job Description:

We’re looking for a Website Strategist who excels at client intake and discovery, then translates that input into a clear, actionable strategy that guides architecture, UX/UI, copy, design, and development. This role is accountable for ensuring our website work ties directly to client business goals and measurable web performance, with a strong emphasis on user experience, conversion, and continuous improvement. The Website Strategist will be able to bridge design, content, and technology AND focus on user experience (UX), search engine optimization (SEO), and analytics. Clients want a website that drives engagement, conversions, and measurable growth and you’ll be able to deliver that through data-driven insights, user research, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities include creating site architecture, user personas, content plans, conducting audits, and managing projects for effective digital presence.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead client intake, discovery workshops, and stakeholder interviews to clarify goals, success metrics, constraints, and decision criteria
  • Convert discovery into an execution-ready strategy and action plan, including clear recommendations, priorities, sequencing, and rationale
  • Define measurable website objectives and ensure alignment with broader marketing and business objectives
  • Develop or refine site architecture, navigation models, user flows, and customer journey maps that support user needs and conversion paths
  • Utilize proven UX design best practices in order to create strategically aligned, performant UX solutions
  • Lead content strategy inputs, including content audits, mapping, and requirements by page type
  • Partner with copywriters to define messaging hierarchy, clarity, and quality/relevance
  • Collaborate with and review SEO strategies to ensure Information Architecture and content direction support organic growth and technical best practices
  • Define the measurement approach in partnership with the digital and web teams
  • Partner with Sales and Resourcing during proposal development to shape strategy approach, scope, assumptions, deliverables and client expectations
  • Support budget refinement by aligning effort to strategy depth, complexity, and client goals
  • Collaborate closely with UX/UI, design, development, SEO and content to ensure strategic clarity before execution begins
  • Provide planning inputs to PMs and AMs without owning the project plan or the day-to-day delivery (dependencies, sequencing, risk flags, etc.)

Requirements:

  • Analytical Skills: Data analysis, problem-solving, ROI measurement
  • Technical Knowledge: CMS proficiency, understanding of HTML/CSS, analytics tools (Google Tag Manager/Google Analytics)
  • UX/Design Understanding: Knowledge of UX principles, user-centric design
  • Digital Marketing: SEO, content marketing, understanding of digital channels
