Job Description:

Gate6 is looking for a Web Designer Intern who’s excited to learn, create, and contribute to real digital user experiences while working alongside designers, developers, and strategists. In this role, you’ll support the design and execution of responsive, user-focused designs all the while gaining hands-on experience with modern tools, workflows, and best practices. This internship is ideal for someone who’s curious, collaborative, and ready to grow their skills in a fast-moving, creative environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide design and front-end development skills in support of sales and marketing as well as, internal and external projects
  • Provide Onshore support for Offshore teams and projects
  • Understand and document project requirements product and client branding
  • Communicate and explain requirements to the off-shore teams and assist in on-shore post deployment check out of applications
  • Become familiar with and help to maintain, Gate6 Marketing and Sales Collateral and the Gate6 website
  • Provide web design and small change support to on-shore clients
  • Proactively communicate to the CXO and project leadership concerning project status and outstanding tasks and roadblocks
  • Assist with one-off projects and assignments that help to drive and close new business
  • Knowledge of Gate6 Skills and Services
  • Become familiar with Gate6 marketing and sales presentations, providing customizations and content as needed
  • Assist the off-shore design team, completing project task assignments

Requirements:

  • Candidate must be located in the Phoenix, Scottsdale AZ area
  • Experience using HTML, CSS, Basic JavaScript and Responsive design
  • Experience using Design & Prototyping tools like Figma, Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator, CMS such as WordPress
  • Experience using Frontend technologies like Angular and React
  • Basic SEO understanding
  • Wireframing and basic UX understanding
  • Motivated and independent contributor, good time-management skills
  • Associates or BS degree Candidate in a related degree area
