Job Description

We are seeking a highly creative, digitally fluent, and detail-oriented Web Copywriter to join our In-house Agency Team, based in Johannesburg. This position will mainly support Inspired online schools. In this role, you will craft engaging, conversion-focused content across a variety of digital platforms - ensuring consistency of voice, clarity of message, and performance-driven storytelling. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the digital presence of a global education brand in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that values innovation, creativity, and excellence in content.

Job Responsibility

  • Champion and apply the Inspired tone of voice across all digital and written communications
  • Deliver high-quality, on-brand copy under tight deadlines within a collaborative, fast-moving digital environment
  • Craft compelling web and campaign content that engages, informs, and drives action across platforms - landing pages, paid ads, social, email, etc
  • Adapt writing style, format, and tone based on brief objectives, audience personas, and platform requirements
  • Maintain a pulse on industry trends in digital content, SEO, UX writing, and education marketing to continually refine and elevate our content strategy
  • Ensure all content aligns with SEO best practices and performance marketing goals, where applicable

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a digital copywriting, content, or similar role
  • Proven experience writing and editing digital marketing content across websites, landing pages, social media, CRM/email, and performance advertising
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain a consistent brand tone of voice
  • A solid understanding of SEO best practices and how copy supports performance and conversion goals
  • Experience working under tight deadlines in a collaborative, fast-moving digital environment
  • The ability to interpret and manage content briefs, turning them into clear, engaging, and conversion-optimised copy
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with confidence working alongside designers, account managers, and digital marketers

Nice to have

  • An interest in, or experience with, UX writing principles and user-centred content design would be advantageous
  • Experience using digital marketing tools, analytics, or performance data to inform and refine content would be beneficial
  • Experience within the education sector or a similar purpose-led organisation would be desirable
