Crafting a compelling online presence is paramount, and this role is central to a significant website redesign initiative. As the Web Content Strategist & Copywriter, you will be instrumental in transforming the organization’s digital narrative, focusing on developing a comprehensive content strategy and executing high-quality web copywriting. This position involves not just writing, but also collaborating on sitemaps and wireframes, optimizing content for SEO, and potentially managing content within a CMS. Your contributions will directly impact the success of a new patient-marketing strategy and enhance the overall digital experience for students and patients, making this a pivotal role within a dynamic marketing communications team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy for the website redesign project
  • Execute high-quality web content copywriting, rewriting and refreshing existing content to “retell the story” of the institution
  • Collaborate closely with UX designers and developers on sitemaps and wireframes to ensure content requirements are met
  • Conduct interviews with key stakeholders, including leadership, to gather information and shape content
  • Optimize all web content for search engine optimization (SEO) to improve visibility and engagement
  • Input and manage content within the Drupal content management system (CMS)
  • Proactively identify and address content-related needs, including supporting the transition of online forms and other “gray area” tasks
  • Ensure consistency in tone, voice, and brand messaging across all web properties

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in web content copywriting, content strategy, and UX content design
  • Demonstrated success in leading or significantly contributing to large-scale website redesign projects
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices and experience in optimizing web content for organic search
  • Proficiency with content management systems (CMS), with Drupal experience being a significant plus
