The Weapons and Weapons Systems Repair Technician is responsible for preventative, corrective and modification maintenance to all weapons, weapons systems equipment and ancillary equipment assigned by the Section Supervisor.
Job Responsibility:
Perform corrective, preventative and modification maintenance on all weapons, weapons systems and ancillary equipment assigned for repair
Perform weapons incident investigations
Perform Examinations of Ordnance
Look up and order repair parts
Test fire weapons
Perform range duties
Initiate and assist in the preparation of Unsatisfactory Condition Reports (UCRs) and Technical Failure Reports (TFRs) and forward to the Control Office
Maintain the security of weapons, associated equipment and other ancillary equipment in the section for repair
Operate and service trade specific and common hand and power tools & vehicles
Perform the duties of an on-call Duty Weapons Tech on a rotational basis
Keep work spaces and general areas clean, orderly and hazard free
Perform any other tasks as designated by the supervisor or Department Manager
Requirements:
Weapons Technician QL5 or higher or equivalent
Must be able to achieve and maintain a Government of Canada Security Clearance
Continuous residency in Canada for the last 5 years is a mandatory requirement
Continuous residency in Canada for the last 10 years is a mandatory requirement for Secret Security Clearance
