Job Description:

Are you a highly skilled and experienced mortgage professional with a deep understanding of Singapore's property market, eager to contribute your specialized expertise within a comprehensive wealth management framework? Citibank Singapore is actively seeking a dynamic Wealth Mortgage Specialist to join our Wealth Mortgage team. This critical role requires a dedicated mortgage expert who can provide exceptional property financing solutions and work in close partnership with our certified Client Advisors to ensure property assets are strategically integrated into our affluent clients' total wealth picture, thereby significantly deepening their overall banking relationship with Citi. If you possess a proven track record in mortgage sales and thrive in a collaborative environment focused on holistic client success, we invite you to make a significant impact with us.

Job Responsibility:

  • Proactively engage with Citi's wealth clients and high-potential prospects to understand their intricate property financing needs, including residential purchases, investment properties, and refinancing solutions within the Singapore market
  • Provide expert, in-depth advice on a comprehensive suite of mortgage products, financing structures, interest rate strategies, and the regulatory environment of Singapore's property market
  • Structure and present tailored mortgage solutions that align precisely with clients' financial objectives and property investment strategies
  • Drive the end-to-end mortgage process, from initial consultation and application to approval and closing, ensuring an exceptional client experience
  • Stay at the forefront of market trends, property valuations, and competitive offerings within Singapore's mortgage industry
  • Work closely and collaboratively with Client Advisors to contribute mortgage expertise to the 'total wealth conversation' for affluent clients
  • Provide Client Advisors with expert insights on how property financing decisions impact, and are impacted by, a client's broader wealth portfolio, thereby facilitating a more integrated and strategic approach to client financial management
  • Support Client Advisors in positioning mortgage solutions as an integral component of a client's comprehensive financial planning, leveraging your specialized mortgage knowledge to reinforce Citi's value proposition as a holistic financial partner and deepen the client's overall banking relationship with Citi
  • Participate in joint client meetings with Client Advisors as the dedicated mortgage expert, providing focused guidance within your domain and showcasing Citi's integrated capabilities
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, enduring relationships with new and existing affluent clients and internal Client Advisors, positioning yourself as the go-to expert for property financing within a holistic wealth management context and a key contributor to enduring client relationships
  • Play a pivotal role in driving successful outcomes for mortgage product acquisition and portfolio growth
  • Contribute significantly to the expansion and enrichment of overall client banking relationships through strategic mortgage engagement, aligning with the team's and Citi's broader financial objectives and client portfolio development
  • Appropriately assess and mitigate risk in all business decisions, safeguarding Citigroup's reputation and assets
  • Ensure strict adherence to applicable laws, rules, and regulations, internal policies, and sound ethical judgment, escalating control issues with transparency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrated success in mortgage sales, property financing, or a related client-facing role within the financial services industry in Singapore, with a strong emphasis on affluent or high-net-worth clients
  • In-depth knowledge of the Singapore property market, including financing structures, regulatory landscape, and current market conditions
  • A strong conceptual understanding of wealth management principles and financial planning concepts to facilitate effective collaboration with Client Advisors and comprehend the broader financial context of client's property assets, without providing direct financial advice on non-mortgage products
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with clients and internal partners, and effectively conveying complex mortgage information to sophisticated clientele
  • Strong analytical abilities, with a capacity for structuring bespoke financial solutions
  • Proven ability to drive successful outcomes in a competitive environment
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to ethical conduct and compliance.
