The Application Support Analyst for Wealth Data applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflows within the wealth data domain. This role requires integrating subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area, with an in-depth understanding of how various sub-functions collectively integrate and contribute to the overall objectives of the function and business.
Job Responsibility:
Provide Level 1/2 application support for critical wealth data platforms and applications
Respond to and resolve production incidents promptly
Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative measures
Proactively identify recurring issues and analyze trends
Contribute to development and enhancement of support processes and workflows
Act as subject matter expert for wealth data applications
Conduct in-depth analysis of complex technical issues
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for support procedures
Communicate effectively with business stakeholders and development teams
Participate in release management activities including testing and deployment
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
7+ years of experience in application support with focus on data-intensive financial applications
Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, analyzing, and troubleshooting data issues
Proficient in at least one scripting language (Python, Shell Scripting, PowerShell)
Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Linux/Unix operating systems
Experience supporting applications deployed on application servers (Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic) or web servers
Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack)
Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data integration patterns
Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancers, Firewalls)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice to have:
Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques
Master's degree preferred
Knowledge of messaging queues (Kafka, MQ Series)
Experience with data warehousing concepts and tools
