Job Description:

Provides support to WIM in providing services to affluent, high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals, families, family offices and charities. BL&T further provides legal guidance on a variety of banking and fiduciary topics including investment management, general trust administration, specialty trusts, custody, tax, specialty assets, regulatory, privacy, ecommerce, deposit relationship and strategy, and business strategies. The section also provides support to the WIM Diverse Segments group, including WIM referral activity.

Job Responsibility:

  • Participate in marketing custom lending solutions across the Wells Fargo platform
  • Partner with senior level specialists to deliver Custom Lending solutions to high-net-worth clients
  • Recommend structure of credit opportunities and assist in negotiating deal terms directly with clients
  • In conjunction with senior level specialists, present deals to Independent Risk Management, along with underwriting teams, for final approval
  • Assist in new custom credit origination and care for more routine/less complex portfolio management (including ongoing financial reporting, out of margin resolution, renewal of maturing credit facilities, etc.)
  • Develop deeper understanding of custom lending to partner with relationship managers
  • Make recommendations on situations requiring understanding of the Wealth Custom Lending functional area policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with Wealth Custom Lending peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Requirements:

2+ years of Custom Lending experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Nice to have:

  • Private Banking, Corporate Banking or Commercial Lending experience
  • Excellent sales and relationship management skills
  • Knowledge of traditional banking products
  • Credit risk experience
  • FINRA registration including Series 7 and 66 (or FINRA recognized equivalents)
