The Wealth Credit Services (WCS) team is an integral part of Wealth Credit Management (WCM) which is dedicated to providing integrated, end-to-end credit underwriting, transaction, and portfolio management. WCM partner closely with all origination businesses within Citi's Private Bank and Wealth Management. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated professional to join our Wealth Credit Services team. WCS provide primary support to the Wealth Underwriting team, contributing significantly to deal closing activities, loan management, credit approval control, and credit activities that support underwriting execution.
Job Responsibility:
Manage pre-closing documentation and activities for efficient and compliant transaction execution
Oversee credit data entry and maintain credit system updates for new credit lines, annual reviews, extensions, and amendments, ensuring accuracy and data integrity
Conduct thorough reviews of loan and credit documentation to ensure strict compliance with credit approvals, regulatory requirements, and accuracy of critical data for reporting purposes
Track, monitor, and test financial and non-financial covenants to ensure ongoing adherence and mitigate risk
Ensure all collateral-driven requirements are met and executed
Monitor credit insurances, ensuring adequate coverage and continuous compliance
Proactively identify and escalate credit risks and issues, collaborating with appropriate stakeholders to drive timely and effective resolution
Identify and implement process and control enhancements across the entire loan lifecycle, from front to back, to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and client experience
Drive, and actively participate in strategic projects and working groups focused on enhancing performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives
Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, growth, and high performance within the team
Requirements:
5-8 years of relevant experience in a large financial institution, preferably within credit lending, operations, underwriting support or risk management functions
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills for data analysis and PowerPoint for presentations
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
Fluent written and verbal English
Demonstrated expertise in loan products, loan operations, credit lending rules, and legal/credit documentation within a financial institution
Proven experience in managing and monitoring credit and transactional data
Very good collaboration and stakeholder management skills
Very good verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, productive partnerships
Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
