Citi’s Risk Management organization oversees risk-taking activities and assesses risks and issues independently of the front line units. We establish and maintain the enterprise risk management framework that ensures the ability to consistently identify, measure, monitor, control and report material aggregate risks. We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Wealth Credit Risk 2LOD Officer, Vice President (Hybrid) (Internal Job Title): Wealth Credit Risk 2LOD Officerbased in Mumbai, India. The Wealth Credit Risk role is focused on analyzing the creditworthiness of Wealth Clients (i.e. CPB Target market Individuals and Wealth Holding Vehicles), assigning risk ratings, recommending credit extensions or withdrawals, and providing ongoing monitoring of credit exposures. This role also includes providing an end to end holistic of review, challenge and recommendation activities for Governance, Regulatory and Portfolio management.
Job Responsibility
Risk assessment including evaluation of credit and financial performance across Wealth Product offerings (such as Margin loan, Derivative Products, Various Structured Lending Products) are preferred
Understand applicable credit policies, local regulations and the requisite impact of those governance items
Establish and leverage cross-functional partnerships and network with key internal and external constituencies
Prepare risk management presentations for senior management that include analytics on portfolio performance and areas of potential risk and/or opportunity when needed
Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision and escalate issues to relevant stakeholders, with a materiality mindset / recommendation (if any)
Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy, demonstrate proactive approach to make things progress
Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Requirements
8-10 years of relevant experience
Comprehensive understanding of Wealth Products, credit approval processes, risk assessment, creditworthiness evaluation, and risk forecasting
In-depth knowledge of financial markets, banking operations, and the regulatory environment
Proven experience in strategic planning, coordinating tasks, and overseeing projects related to credit approval and risk management
Proficiency in analyzing complex data, prioritizing critical information, and making informed decisions
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to articulate ideas clearly and adapt communication styles to suit different audiences
Expertise in risk management, identifying potential risks, developing mitigation strategies, and ensuring adherence to banking regulations and compliance requirements
Bachelor's/University degree
