As a Water Networks Engineer you will help test, chlorinate, and commission new water networks, ensuring adherence to established codes of practice and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, safety-conscious, and possess extensive knowledge of water mains, testing, chlorination, and sampling procedures.

Job Responsibility

  • Safely install, test, chlorinate, and commission water infrastructure, following all relevant method statements, work procedures, and safety instructions
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of testing, chlorinating, and sampling procedures
  • Ensure accurate and prompt recording and submission of work details for invoicing purposes
  • Accept delivery of plant and materials, verifying their fitness for purpose
  • Attend training courses, toolbox talks, and maintain a safe working environment by completing site-specific risk assessments daily
  • Report any defects in vehicles, plant, and equipment to the Project Manager promptly
  • Identify and report contract variations early in accordance with company procedures
  • Perform any other duties deemed appropriate that fall within the experience scope of the individual

Requirements

  • Possession of Water Safety Passport / Water Hygiene Certification / SHEA Water
  • Experience in water industry construction and knowledge of water mains, testing, chlorination, and sampling
  • Full UK driving license
