We are seeking a Water Testing Assistant to support the testing, chlorination, and sampling of new water networks across England and Wales. This role involves working closely with the Water Testing Engineer to ensure all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high technical standard. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the commissioning of essential water infrastructure while developing your skills in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
Job Responsibility:
Exercise safe working practices in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974), wearing appropriate PPE at all times
Assist the Water Testing Engineer in pressure testing, chlorinating, and commissioning water infrastructure
Gain a thorough understanding of water testing, chlorinating, and sampling procedures
Support Final and Secondary Connections activities (complex and non-complex)
Conduct daily site-specific risk assessments
Ensure vehicles, plant, and equipment are in good condition, reporting defects
Attend toolbox talks and other training sessions
Record and submit accurate work details for project tracking and invoicing
Requirements:
Water Safety Passport
Water Hygiene Certification
Full UK Driving License
Experience in water mains testing, chlorination, and sampling
Ability to work as part of a team in a field-based environment
