About the Company Our client is one of the largest multi utility companies in the UK. They consistently rank as one of the best companies to work for in the country and boast independently owned water, gas and electricity networks which service over 1.5m people across the country. To aid the expansion of their water network, we're currently searching for 4 dedicated Water Team Leaders the South West.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist with the installation of new water mains, ensuring adherence to strict company guidelines
  • Supervise the delivery, quality, and maintenance of plants and materials
  • Liaise efficiently with utility stakeholders, ensuring compliance with local regulations
  • Highlight any deviations in contracts, communicating effectively with project management
  • Keep meticulous records of all operations, prepping them for subsequent billing processes

Requirements

  • Credentials in Main Laying/Service Laying
  • Competence with Mechanical diggers (up to 10T) and Dumpers (up to 6T)
  • Experience across Water Hygiene, Water Mains, and Services
  • A valid UK driving license
  • Ability to read utility plans

  • Liaise regularly with ICP businesses to provide management level reports to the Head of Project Delivery detailing current state of projects
  • Conduct project risk reviews and manage potential risks to minimise company risk
  • Fully understand project requirements and ensure infrastructure is installed to specification and to adoption quality
  • Ensure designs have full design approval by design consultants/designers
  • Assist in the development of Project Delivery and Handover process, from project initiation through to Asset Management adoption
  • Work closely with the Head of Asset Management to ensure a suitable COMER contract is in place on site and all tests have been completed to relevant standards and legislation
  • Undertake Line Management responsibilities ensuring regular appraisals, reviews and staff development plans are acted on
