Water System Equipment Operator

The Pepperell Department of Public Works – Water Division is accepting applications for the position of Water System Equipment Operator. Duties for this position include the maintenance and operation of the water system, water treatment facilities, pumping stations and water storage facilities. Additional duties may include hydrant flushing, water service excavation and identification, water meter maintenance and replacement, and repairing/installing/upgrading water mains, gates, valves, and hydrants. This position is a minimum 40-hours a week position from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and requires on-call and weekend station checks on a rotating schedule. Anticipate hiring range is $28 to $31 per hour based upon qualifications. The full pay range is $28-$33.
