Job Description:

Greenville, NH is seeking qualified certified Water/Sewer operators.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operation and maintenance of the Town’s Water (Grade III Treatment, Grade I Distribution) and Wastewater (Grade II) Facilities, including operation, maintenance, and limited administration
  • Maintenance of all physical treatment plant facilities
  • Emergency response
  • Process monitoring
  • Laboratory testing
  • Record keeping duties including data collection, organization, and retention
  • Participation in an on-call rotation, with some night, weekend, and overtime work

Requirements:

  • NHDES Water Treatment Grade 1+ certification
  • Grade 2 or higher Wastewater Treatment certification or ability to obtain through intra-state reciprocity
  • Ability to complete tasks with limited supervision once trained
  • Ability to follow protocols to ensure all Federal, State, and local safety regulations are followed
  • Experienced in the operation of water and/or wastewater facilities
  • Ability to learn, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems
  • Scada/controls systems familiarity
  • Ability to use technology
  • Understanding of basic math
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

Nice to have:

Surface water treatment experience
