The town of Maynard is hiring for the position of Water Quality Analyst! This position is responsible for executing the town's water quality sampling and reporting program in compliance with all Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency drinking water regulations. The position requires an understanding of water chemistry concepts and hydrologic processes in order to evaluate and protect local resources and to transfer related information to other departments, staff, and the public assist in customer service calls and requests related to the water and sewer division. Additionally, this position will be responsible for participating in the departments Outreach and Educational Programs, including special projects. Lastly, this position will assist in maintaining water/sewer GIS data.
Job Responsibility

Requirements
Associate's degree in environmental science or related field or minimum two years in environmental compliance, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential function of the job required
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental science, public administration, or the like preferred
