Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing and innovative team. As our Water Environment Lead, based in the UK, you will report to the Director of Water and help grow the team and the business, building on the capabilities of Egis water and engineering professionals around the world. As an ambitious professional with plenty of experience, you will have a background in the UK Water Sector with a good understanding of the challenges it faces as it adapts to a changing climate and increasing population. Your role will involve working with the UK Director of Water to help foster growth within our core team, collaborating with peers across all disciplines and developing existing and new relationships with clients to maximize our combined offerings and secure new wins.

Requirements

  • Experience in Blue-Green Infrastructure, including SuDS, green outfalls, wetland treatment
  • Experience in water resource and flood risk management
  • Experience in water quality management, monitoring and improvement
  • WINEP-related project experience
  • Experience in nature-based solutions, BNG, river restoration
  • Sustainability and carbon reduction experience

  • Provide strategic water-environment advice aligned to regulatory frameworks, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and water industry requirements while balancing environmental, operational and commercial considerations
  • Oversee preparation and review of technical deliverables, ensuring robust methodologies, high-quality reporting, defensible modelling outputs and clear audit trails for regulatory approval
  • Support multidisciplinary and stakeholder coordination, integrating environmental considerations into treatment, infrastructure and resilience schemes to ensure practical and sustainable outcomes
