As our Water Environment Lead, based in the UK, you will report to the Director of Water and help grow the team and the business, building on the capabilities of Egis water and engineering professionals around the world. As an ambitious professional with plenty of experience, you will have a background in the UK Water Sector with a good understanding of the challenges it faces as it adapts to a changing climate and increasing population. Your role will involve working with the UK Director of Water to help foster growth within our core team, collaborating with peers across all disciplines and developing existing and new relationships with clients to maximize our combined offerings and secure new wins.
Job Responsibility:
Network and support business development opportunities
Contribute to UK Water Strategy to identify growth areas and opportunities
Support in recruitment and development of team
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders
Provide technical and expert advice to clients, manage and deliver projects
Collaborate with wider Egis teams to develop market leading and innovative services to our clients
Requirements:
Education to degree level or higher, BSc/MSc in environmental/water management, engineering or related subjects
Chartered member of a professional institution such as CIWEM, Society for Environment etc.
Demonstrable client, contractor or consultancy experience in UK Water Sector
Experience in Blue-Green Infrastructure, including SuDS, green outfalls, wetland treatment
Experience in water resource and flood risk management
Experience in water quality management, monitoring and improvement
WINEP-related project experience
Experience in nature-based solutions, BNG, river restoration
