The Company This is a fantastic opportunity for you to join a business that owns and regulates their own multi-utility network across the UK. This company has completed many high profile projects within the electrical, water and wastewater, heating, cooling and hot water sectors of the industry. The Role As the Water Delivery Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of water infrastructure projects and the supporting documentation to the Head of Project Delivery. You’ll work on many exciting and large multi-utility projects while also supporting the delivery team with the delivery of their projects. The Water Team Leader will provide guidance on processes and procedures whilst communicating with the Technical Team on any issues in relation to the project.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide first line support and Project Management guidance to Project Managers
  • Ensure all escalated matters are documented and reported to relevant parties at the earliest opportunity
  • Ensure all SHEQ requirements compiled on assets and sites under the Project Delivery teams’ supervision
  • Liaise regularly with ICP businesses to provide management level reports to the Head of Project Delivery detailing current state of projects
  • Conduct project risk reviews and manage potential risks to minimise company risk
  • Fully understand project requirements and ensure infrastructure is installed to specification and to adoption quality
  • Ensure designs have full design approval by design consultants/designers
  • Assist in the development of Project Delivery and Handover process, from project initiation through to Asset Management adoption
  • Work closely with the Head of Asset Management to ensure a suitable COMER contract is in place on site and all tests have been completed to relevant standards and legislation
  • Undertake Line Management responsibilities ensuring regular appraisals, reviews and staff development plans are acted on

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Project Management of Utility Infrastructure Projects
  • Excellent knowledge of the utility industry and asset standards
  • Strong people management skills: able to motivate, encourage and help staff to their full potential
  • Knowledge of asset adoption and delivery legal requirements
  • Strong computer and reporting skills
