  • Manages all functions associated with operation and process control of the Easterly or Westerly wastewater treatment plant
  • Ensures the operating efficiency of all treatment plant processes to achieve a quality treated effluent
  • Implements efforts to continuously improve plant operating efficiency
  • Ensures proper sampling
  • maintains records and prepares reports
  • Makes critical decisions regarding plant operational problems, overflows and bypasses, emergency responses, evacuation and emergency maintenance
  • Identifies process problems, recommends process adjustments and implements necessary adjustments
  • Plans, directs, schedules and supervises employees in the operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant
  • Assigns and delegates work to meet performance objectives and provides guidance to assist staff
