Job Description:

Seeking an experienced Wastewater Operator with a class 3 or higher license to help our client serve the military in this great direct hire career. Join our client's dedicated team as a direct placement/hire at Fort Stewart and/or Hunter Army Airfield, where they operate state-of-the-art wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring the efficient management of water systems. Their commitment to excellence drives an innovative approach to water purification and wastewater management.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operate sewage treatment and processing equipment in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Monitor and adjust control panels to regulate sewage flow manually and remotely
  • Analyze operating conditions by interpreting meter readings and lab test results
  • Maintain accurate operational logs and safety records throughout processes
  • Conduct sewage sampling and laboratory tests using appropriate equipment

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED
  • Minimum of one year of wastewater operations
  • Class III or higher Wastewater License issued by the State of Georgia. An equivalent & transferrable license from another state or entity will also be considered
  • Valid Georgia Driver's License and ability to maintain military gate pass access
  • must obtain security clearance for government computer usage
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check

  • Operates fluidized-bed incinerators, steam generating facilities, steam turbines and associated compressors, pumps, motors and valves
  • Maintains proper operating conditions of the Waste Heat Boiler
  • Oversees and operates high pressure steam boiler systems, including Water Treatment and Reverse Osmosis
  • Inspect and replace ion exchange tanks
  • Performs the startup and shut down of preheat burners and scrubber system
  • Monitors sand levels in the Sand Silo System and replenishes sand beds
  • Monitor and replenish softener tank by adding salt
  • Monitors and maintains the Ash System
  • Operates units by controlling and monitoring equipment and processes manually and through control systems
