Job Description:

Job Responsibility:

  • Operate Roll-Off Truck, Tri-axle Compaction Trailer, and Tractor
  • Operate client-owned Haul-All compaction equipment and Transtor
  • Operate Skid Steer and Komatsu 210 Excavator to load bins and sort metals and wood
  • Gather and empty both sanitary and industrial waste receptacles
  • Sort, palletize, and load batteries into trailer
  • Maintain laydown yard and refurbish waste bins as directed
  • Perform cleaning and disinfection of lunchroom/break areas, including appliances
  • Perform other customer service-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • A valid Class 1 Driver’s License is required
  • A clean Driver’s Abstract is required
  • A minimum of one year of commercial driving experience is required
  • OSSA Oil Sands, CSTS-09, OSSA BSO, or CSO certification is required
  • Ability to access all Acden client sites is required
  • Physically capable of performing labour-intensive tasks as required by the role
  • Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in task execution
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience operating a Skid Steer is considered an asset
  • Experience operating an Excavator is considered an asset

  • Prepare and present HGVs for annual MOT testing

  • Complete service documentation and job records in line with company procedures, and follow incident and near-miss reporting processes where required
  • Maintain a safe, clean working environment, complying with health and safety regulations, Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs), and risk assessments, including correct use of PPE
  • Support and guide apprentice technicians while contributing positively to the wider team
