A premier, long-standing Western Canadian leader in heavy-duty parts and service is looking for a Warranty Technician to join their Winnipeg operations. This is a unique "hybrid" role (50% mechanic / 50% admin) that bridges the gap between the service bay, production, and parts departments, ensuring that technical repairs meet the highest quality and warranty standards. Unlike a standard shop role, you are the technical gatekeeper. You will spend your time analyzing work orders, diagnosing complex system failures (transmissions, differentials, air systems), and ensuring the company is protected through accurate reporting.

Ensure all repairs strictly follow approved and established warranty procedures. Document repairs, parts required, and labor with high accuracy
Analyze work orders to verify vehicle conditions and the accuracy of previous diagnoses. Estimate service times to assist with efficient scheduling
Identify parts requirements for specific jobs and communicate those needs clearly via repair orders to the Parts department
Maintain constant communication with Service Consultants and the Production department regarding repair status and warranty policies
Requirements
Expert-level understanding of semi-truck systems and the ability to explain complex repairs to others clearly
Valid Journeyman Truck and Transport Mechanic ticket is a significant asset
Proven ability to document detailed repairs and accurately track charges on warranty work orders
Strong understanding of and ability to comply with strict quality control and inspection requirements
Must be physically capable of lifting 50 lbs throughout the day and be fully competent in using computer systems
