Job Responsibility:

  • Maintain warehouse operations according to established company standards
  • Perform daily U.S.D.A sanitation requirements
  • Maximize customer satisfaction through effective communication, merchandising, and adherence to operating procedures
  • Perform accurate receiving by properly down-stacking goods and cross-checking against invoices
  • Check for any shipping damage and ensure appropriate documentation
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of food products
  • Implement the 'oldest is being used first' rule by performing proper item rotation and dating
  • Salvage and utilize any usable portion of damaged merchandise
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA standards

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months of related experience and/or training
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1-3 years of warehousing experience preferred
  • Proficiency in wrapping, weighing, labeling, and pricing cuts of meat preferred
  • Experience in food handling is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, clients, and fellow employees
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to perform calculations and interpret graphs
  • Forklift and electric pallet jack operation experience preferred

Nice to have:

  • Proficiency in wrapping, weighing, labeling, and pricing cuts of meat
