Job Description:

The Warehouse Team Manager will support the site management team in the efficient and cost effective management of the warehouse operations. It will be your responsibility to ensure the smooth running of the daily Warehouse operation and enable the required level of service to be provided to the customer at all times.

Job Responsibility:

  • Enable the required level of service to be provided to the customer at all times
  • Ensure that the receiving, storing, picking and dispatch of Goods in the correct manner to agreed productivity levels and within budgetary constraints
  • Maintain a safe working environment through effective team management

Requirements:

  • GSCE Maths and English grade C or above or equivalent
  • Knowledge of warehouse functions in an FMCG environment
  • Working knowledge of the operational aspects of supervising a warehouse operation
  • A good understanding of warehousing, logistics and customer service
  • Ability to foster a co-operative work environment
  • Ability to motivate others and encourage teamwork
  • Able to handle conflict in a confidential and professional manner
  • Able to prioritise workloads & work well under pressure
  • PC literate MS office suite 365
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Demonstrate excellent people skills
  • Strong communication & willingness to learn

Nice to have:

  • Basic Food Handling Certificate, IOSH
  • Knowledge of warehouse functions in a food environment
  • Appreciation of finance and budgetary controls
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation
  • Ability to manage, appraise and train employees
  • Stock control experience
  • Independent retail experience
  • Practical knowledge of MHE use
  • General awareness of the activities in other supply chain departments
