As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will work within the Logistics Department dealing with the management of raw materials and component stock to ensure efficient storage, control, and housekeeping.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise, coordinate, and support a team of Logistics operatives
Enforce health and safety regulations and ensure the team follows best practices
Monitor and manage the storage, kitting, and dispatch of goods and materials
Ensure stock levels are accurately maintained and recorded in the inventory management system
Implement FIFO and monitor product life cycles
Conduct regular stock counts and assist with audits
Allocate tasks and monitor team performance to ensure KPIs and deadlines are met
Report and investigate discrepancies or damages in stock or deliveries
Assist with training new team members and upskilling existing staff
Liaise with procurement, production, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to improve efficiency
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse area
Support the team on the floor and drive FLTs when required
Requirements:
Previous team management experience
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Computer literacy
Forklift licence (training provided if required)
Good standard of education, with GCSEs in English and Mathematics
