Job Description:

The Warehouse Team Leader (Fulfilment Operations) at IKEA is responsible for managing and improving warehouse operations, recruiting and developing team members, achieving KPIs, and ensuring safety and compliance in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting operations at the External Warehouse (Canning Vale) and the main store (Innaloo) by managing daily operations, including container receivals, unloads, internal site replenishment, and external replenishment for the store
  • managing daily activities, rostering, breaks, and achieving KPIs for the Fulfilment Operations team
  • ensuring efficient warehouse systems for stock allocation, inventory control, and conducting investigations related to inventory discrepancies
  • leading recruitment, retention, and development of team talents to ensure a high-performing, diverse team
  • maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with IKEA Code of Conduct and local regulations
  • continuously improving daily operations to enhance customer shopping experience through product quality, merchandising, and stock accuracy
  • promoting quality awareness, implementing local business plans/projects, and analysing workload to achieve operational excellence

Requirements:

  • Experience leading teams in operational functions with a proven record of delivering business results and people development
  • passionate about customer-centric Fulfilment Operations
  • sound computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office
  • exceptional communication skills for building relationships and managing stakeholders
  • ability to think ahead, remain calm under pressure, and excel in agile decision-making and problem-solving
  • comfortable with strategic, tactical, and operational tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • self-awareness and a safety mindset, ensuring a safe working environment while delivering results

Nice to have:

  • Previous forklift driving experience
  • valid forklift licence
