Job Description:

The Warehouse Team Leader (Fulfilment Operations) at IKEA is responsible for managing and improving warehouse operations, recruiting and developing team members, achieving KPIs, and ensuring safety and compliance in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

Job Responsibility:

Supporting operations at the External Warehouse (Canning Vale) and the main store (Innaloo) by managing daily operations, including container receivals, unloads, internal site replenishment, and external replenishment for the store
managing daily activities, rostering, breaks, and achieving KPIs for the Fulfilment Operations team
ensuring efficient warehouse systems for stock allocation, inventory control, and conducting investigations related to inventory discrepancies
leading recruitment, retention, and development of team talents to ensure a high-performing, diverse team
maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with IKEA Code of Conduct and local regulations
continuously improving daily operations to enhance customer shopping experience through product quality, merchandising, and stock accuracy
promoting quality awareness, implementing local business plans/projects, and analysing workload to achieve operational excellence

Requirements:

Experience leading teams in operational functions with a proven record of delivering business results and people development
passionate about customer-centric Fulfilment Operations
sound computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office
exceptional communication skills for building relationships and managing stakeholders
ability to think ahead, remain calm under pressure, and excel in agile decision-making and problem-solving
comfortable with strategic, tactical, and operational tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
self-awareness and a safety mindset, ensuring a safe working environment while delivering results

Nice to have:

Previous forklift driving experience
valid forklift licence
