As we continue to expand across New Zealand and international markets, we’re looking for a hands‑on, people‑focused Warehouse Team Leader to join our Day Shift team. This is a key leadership role where you’ll take ownership of the production picking function, support inwards operations as required, and play a vital role in ensuring our products reach customers safely, efficiently, and on time. As Warehouse Team Leader, you’ll lead a team of 12–15 team members, creating a safe, engaged, and high‑performing environment. You’ll balance operational excellence with strong people leadership, ensuring daily targets are met while continuously improving the way we work.
Job Responsibility:
Lead, coach, and motivate your team through clear communication and visible leadership on the floor
Champion health and safety, quality, and compliance standards and proactively identify risks, report incidents, and drive corrective actions
Oversee day‑to‑day warehouse operations, ensuring delivery targets are achieved
Support inwards operations when required and collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams
Drive a Kaizen mindset through process improvements and problem‑solving
Apply lean tools such as 5 Why, 5S, GEMBA Walks, and toolbox talks to lift performance
Coach and mentor team members, building capability and succession
Lead regular MBU1 (toolbox) sessions and performance conversations
Requirements:
Proven leadership experience in warehouse or manufacturing environments
Experience managing inwards and outwards operations
Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills
Confidence using warehouse systems and IT tools (ERP / SAP / NAV experience highly regarded)
A continuous improvement mindset with practical Kaizen experience
Sound decision‑making ability, backed by data and commercial awareness
Strong influencing, negotiation, and communication skills
A genuine commitment to safety, quality, and developing others
