Job Description

We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Warehouse Team Leader to lead our Day Shift operations (6.00am to 2.30pm) at our East Auckland site. This is a key leadership role where you'll be leading from the floor, motivating a team of 11–15, and keeping daily warehouse operations running safely, efficiently, and on time.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead & Inspire - Lead, coach, and motivate your team through clear communication and visible leadership on the floor
  • Safety, Quality & Compliance - Champion health and safety, quality, and compliance standards and proactively identify risks, report incidents, and drive corrective actions
  • Operational Excellence - Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring delivery targets are achieved
  • Support inwards operations when required and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams
  • Continuous Improvement - Drive a Kaizen mindset through process improvements and problem-solving and apply lean tools such as 5 Why, 5S, GEMBA Walks, and toolbox talks to lift performance
  • Develop People & Performance - Coach and mentor team members, building capability and succession and lead regular MBU1 (toolbox) sessions and performance conversations

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in warehouse or manufacturing environments
  • Experience managing inwards and outwards operations
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Confidence using warehouse systems and IT tools (ERP / SAP / NAV experience highly regarded)
  • A continuous improvement mindset with practical Kaizen experience
  • Sound decision-making ability, backed by data and commercial awareness
  • Strong influencing, negotiation, and communication skills
  • A genuine commitment to safety, quality, and developing others
