Job Description:

Are you a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Do you take pride in keeping a building moving, ensuring that every truck leaves on time and every order is picked with precision? We are currently seeking a dynamic Warehouse Team Lead (Warehouse Operations Coordinator) for a leading partner in the building supplies industry located in Vaughan, Ontario. This is a pivotal role for a professional who loves the intersection of floor operations and logistical planning within the Manufacturing & logistics sector. In this role, you will be the heartbeat of the daily operations. Acting as the bridge between the warehouse floor, the delivery fleet, and the sales team, you will ensure the seamless flow of goods from inventory to the customer. As part of the Manufacturing & logistics sector, this position offers stability and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on business success. You won't just be sitting behind a desk; as a Warehouse Team Lead, you will be actively managing the floor, coordinating drivers, and stepping in to support the team wherever gaps appear. If you are an early riser who loves a job where no two days are exactly the same, this is the career move you have been waiting for. ... As a Warehouse Team Lead specializing in Manufacturing & logistics, you are responsible for the 'how' and 'when' of the facility. You will oversee the daily rhythm of the warehouse, starting bright and early to open the facility and set the tone for the day. You are the go-to person for resolving delivery exceptions, managing picker workflow, and ensuring safety and efficiency standards are met. This role is deeply rooted in Manufacturing & logistics, requiring a mindset that is both analytical and action-oriented. You will support the sales team during peak hours and assist walk-in customers, ensuring high service standards are maintained across the board.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage the daily opening of the warehouse, reviewing emails and operational messages to set priorities for the Manufacturing & logistics team
  • Distribute orders to pickers and confirm staffing readiness to ensure a smooth start to the shift
  • Prepare daily driver runs and review prior day deliveries to resolve any exceptions immediately
  • Oversee truck loading and departure timing to guarantee on-time service for all clients
  • Monitor active floor activity and workflow, reassigning pickers dynamically as volume shifts
  • Conduct daily building walkthroughs to ensure safety protocols and organizational standards are met
  • Prepare delivery documentation for invoicing and support basic fleet tracking systems
  • Provide coverage for the order desk and assist walk-in customers with high-level service
  • Prepare driver runs for the following day and ensure the warehouse is fully prepped for the next shift
  • Serve as the primary interface between drivers, warehouse pickers, and the sales team to prevent escalations

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or operations coordination role with team lead experience
  • Proven experience in Manufacturing & logistics environments
  • Ability to work the required schedule of 5:30 am – 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday
  • Physical ability to perform building walkthroughs and assist on the warehouse floor as needed
  • Reliable transportation to the Vaughan, Ontario area
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice to have:

  • Forklift license
  • Experience with building supplies or similar industrial products
  • Further certification in logistics or management
What we offer:
  • Performance Bonuses: Eligibility for bonuses tied to operational KPIs
  • Work-Life Balance: An early morning schedule (5:30 am – 3:00 pm) that allows you to beat the traffic
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Access to standard company benefits and paid time off
