Job Description

The Warehouse Supervisor is a full-time, permanent opportunity based at our Darwin Warehouse, offering a hands-on leadership role within a fast-paced logistics environment. You will oversee daily warehouse operations, lead a team, and drive efficiency across inbound and outbound processes while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Working closely with the broader Logistics Operations team, you’ll play a key role in continuous improvement, change initiatives, and building a strong team culture. The ideal working hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm, providing consistency while supporting operational needs.

Job Responsibility

  • Supervising warehouse staff and daily activities
  • Managing, evaluating and reporting on warehouse productivity
  • Manage Inventory, do Cycle counts and investigate discrepancy and manage claims
  • Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials
  • Ordering supplies and maintaining suitable inventory levels
  • Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds
  • Coordinating and maintaining fleets and equipment

Requirements

  • Warehouse Supervisory Experience
  • Experience in leading teams
  • Use of Continuous Improvement tools and methods
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office – Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Knowledge of EEO, OH&S and HACCP Regulations
  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Coordinate unload and load of route trucks including assisting with the physical aspect of the job
  • Conduct quality assurance inspections on caskets, simple casket repairs, processing returns and communicating with production
  • Driver routing for customer service locations using routing software

  • Responsible for local operational performance in the following areas: cost, delivery, health and safety, property management, cost of quality, work standards, procedures and policies, and customer satisfaction
  • Implement strategies to improve operations and inventory efficiencies at the CSC level (i.e., fill rates)
  • Responsible for the achievement and reduction of cost per delivered unit and hours per unit measured as well as protection of company assets such as inventory, purchase cards, fuel cards, petty cash, etc
