The position oversees all operations related to material storage, facility maintenance, organization, receiving, order fulfillment, inventory control, and shipments to our customers. This position requires working with retailers, suppliers, delivery companies, and repair companies. The Warehouse Supervisor also has responsibility of receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of Government Furnished Material (GFM). The Warehouse Supervisor will Interface frequently with government entities such as the Naval Property Administrator (NPA), Program Managers, Ship Building Specialists, and Government Material Coordinators. The Warehouse Supervisor ensures that workplace health and safety requirements are met and is responsible for the security of the building and stock. The Supervisor ensures productivity targets are met and maintains computerized administration and automated storage and retrieval systems. This person should have a working knowledge of government required documents as well as FAR and DFAR requirements. The individual should be a results-oriented with the ability to improve business operations and processes through statistics, decision making models, and data analysis. Strong expertise in supporting military and government personnel.
Job Responsibility:

Works with retailers, suppliers, delivery companies, and repair companies

Interfaces frequently with government entities such as the Naval Property Administrator (NPA), Program Managers, Ship Building Specialists, and Government Material Coordinators

Responsible for the security of the building and stock

Maintains computerized administration and automated storage and retrieval systems
Ensure and improved Asset visibility/tracking and workload leveling
Planning and assigning jobs, maintain the record and track all GFM and GFE
Read contract specifications to be aware of any classified material, turnaround material or any materials that may be shipped to an outside repair facility
Maintain accountability for all material until consumption
Interact with subcontractors, ship superintendents, ship surveyors, port engineers and property administrator
Generate necessary paperwork to facilitate material flow on any items that may be delivered to BAE Systems outside of the original specifications
Requirements:
Typically 2 years with a Bachelors degree or work experience considered in lieu of a degree
Experience working in a shipyard/martime enviroment
Knowledge of warehouse procedures
Strong problem-solving skills
Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Microsoft Office
Experience dealing with the Naval Property Administrator (NPA)
Familiarity with contract specifications and awareness of classified material, turnaround material, or any materials that may be shipped to an outside repair facility
Strong orientation to Safety Management
