Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our daily warehouse activities. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team, ensuring safety standards, driving productivity improvements, and ensuring our warehouse runs smoothly and efficiently. Work with the wider operations team to ensure compliance on all internal and external audits
Job Responsibility:
People management of the warehouse team, including: training, development, appraisals, performance management, daily team meetings
Manage team resource in line with labour requirements, through temporary staffing
Be a key figure for onsite health and safety, and champion a positive health and safety culture in the warehouse department, as well as the whole business
Delivery of goods to customers OTIF (On Time in Full) and RFT (Right First Time)
Ensure physical inventory is correctly stored and matches system inventory
Manage the department to be at EARS (Everyday Audit Ready Standard)
Understand all warehouse related QMS (Quality Management System) procedures, policies, documents and records, and ensure they are actively and correctly followed and used
Maintain a clean, organised and compliant warehouse
Ensure that all associated documentation is correctly and fully complete in the warehouse process
Liaise with other departments, such as Technical, Production, Planning and Supply Chain to ensure that the coordination of the flow of materials into and out of their area is timely, and within the quality guidelines
To monitor efficiencies ensuring targets are met & improved upon
Continuously improve processes, systems to maintain any relevant accreditations
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar role within a warehousing environment
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and experience implementing them in a warehouse setting
Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring that all work complies with safety regulations
Understanding of equipment maintenance and reliability to ensure warehouse machinery operates efficiently and downtime is minimised
Knowledge and experience in tracking and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Fork truck license
MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Batch and inventory control
Strong people management skills, including team development and conflict resolution
Strong ability to troubleshoot issues, think quickly, and adapt to changing circumstances
