Job Description

As a Warehouse Supervisor at our National Distribution Centre in Rotherham, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment while delivering high standards of accuracy and productivity.

Job Responsibility

  • Support First Line Managers in leading and supervising daily warehouse operations (receiving, picking, packing, dispatch)
  • Ensure productivity, accuracy, and service KPIs are consistently achieved
  • Allocate labour and resources effectively to meet operational demands
  • Promote and enforce Health & Safety standards at all times
  • Conduct team briefings and provide clear communication across shifts
  • Support colleague development, performance management, and training
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and inventory accuracy
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory experience within a warehouse or distribution environment
  • Strong operational knowledge of warehouse processes
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

  • Coordinate with procurement, project engineers, site managers, and logistics providers to align supply with construction schedules and forecast needs
  • Monitor and drive KPIs such as OTIF to sites/Warehouse, inventory accuracy/turnover, material availability, shrinkage, and cost control
  • Support continuous improvement (Lean practices), layout optimisation, and process enhancements to reduce waste, handling damage, and lead times
