As we continue being 'Here for you', we’re looking for a Warehouse Supervisor (Night Shift) to join our Supply Chain, Planning, Logistics team. Warehouse supervisors oversee and direct the activities of teams that receive, handle, and ship items and deliveries. This role balances direct receiving activities and stock handling with team leadership duties such as training and guiding employees, developing policies and procedures to enhance receiving & shipping department activities, maintaining inventory control and management of records and data. This role supports and coordinates operations within their department and makes key decisions regarding the unloading, loading, intake, storage, and distribution of items. In many cases, this leadership role also plays a part in maintaining receiving and warehouse department budgets, managing the department’s workflow, and promoting safety and efficiency.
Job Responsibility:
Leadership and supervision of employees, including scheduling and time card approval
Ensure receiving employees perform job responsibilities correctly and safely, with a focus on scanning accuracy
Ensure all receiving documents are created and maintained accurately, including BOLs, hold tags and associated documents
Perform inventory cycle counts in the Raw Material/Receiving Warehouse, correct and follow-up on any inventory discrepancies
Ownership of Raw Materials inventory, ensuring product is shipped properly and Hold product is handled according to guidelines and disposition
Develop improvement plans to increase efficiency in the receiving and shipping operations
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in the Receiving and Dock areas
Perform receiving functions as needed, including driving a forklift
Ensure and promote compliance to company safety guidelines as well as policies and procedures
Performs other duties as required
Requirements:
5-8 years of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics
experience in operating material handling equipment preferred
BS/BA in Supply Chain, Business, Management, or Logistics
or equivalent experience with high school diploma/equivalency
A minimum of 5 years in a leadership/supervisory role in manufacturing preferred
Proficient with MS Office suite
Forklift driving experience – acquire or maintain forklift license on required equipment
Strong sense of urgency & attention to detail
Excellent organization, communication and follow-up skills
Able to influence others & manage conflict
Ability to self-direct and take constructive action in ambiguous situations
Extremely high standards of excellence
Excellent Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook
SAP experience preferred
SAP EWMS experience highly desired
Must be able to work well in a team
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
ability to bend and to lift heavy materials
Ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer software
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends
Accuracy: perform tasks thoroughly and with care of details that are easy to overlook
