Job Description:

The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for backing up shipping, receiving and materials supply functions, ensuring timely, safe, and efficient operations of the warehouse.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide backup for receiving materials, components, and packaging through Incoming Quality Assurance
  • Assist in putting away released products from the Incoming Quality Assurance quarantine area
  • Communicate potential shortages to Supply Chain and Production
  • Maintain neat and orderly warehouse and staging areas
  • Move inventory to various locations manually and by operating mechanical equipment
  • Maintain proper documentation for materials
  • Load and unload trucks and move materials within the warehouse and/or between the two buildings
  • Assist in maintain inventory accuracy
  • Assist in physical inventory and preform cycle counts
  • Provide backup preparing items for shipping
  • Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meeting specifications
  • Prepare packing lists and bills of lading
  • Provide backup to ensure all scrap procedures are being adhered to
  • Work the scrap company to ensure timely pickup/drop off scrap trailers
  • Maintain tools and components needed to preform task per current Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Follow all safety procedures
  • Support lean and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide recommendations on process improvements
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Use the company's ERP software for inventory entry and stock out
  • Maintain good relations with all plant departments
  • Strong math, reading, and communication skills required
  • Certified to operate fork truck, pallet jack, and other material handling equipment
  • Able to frequently lift up to 55 lbs

Nice to have:

  • Experience in inventory best practices
  • Great organizational skills
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft application required and SAP experience preferred
  • Must be a team player
  • Commitment to getting the task done
