Job Description:

The Warehouse Shipping Clerk is responsible for the duties associated with the preparation of the daily workloads for the production crew.

Job Responsibility:

  • Analyze, print and distribute production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, and/or requisition to determine items to be moved or distributed
  • Communicate issues and action taken / needed with Warehouse Supervisor daily
  • Respond timely to requests for data or correspondence from files as requested within an appropriate time frame
  • Research inventory issues conveyed through company hotline, and compile error information spreadsheets
  • Communicate effectively with internal customers in regard to orders processed
  • Interact with all levels of workforce, including management
  • Must maintain good attendance
  • Maintain safe work practices

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Previous clerical experience and (1) one-year experience in a warehouse environment required
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to write simple correspondence effectively and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees in the organization
  • Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts, such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical situations
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to develop alternative solutions
  • Knowledge of the WMiS system and TOLAS Inventory software as well as proficient experience in Microsoft Word and Excel programs
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
  • Work overtime as required
