Warehouse Safety Coordinator

• Ensure compliance with IKEA Risk Management Standards via audits, follow-up, education and training and reports
• Respond to all accidents and provide basic first aid and/or CPR
• Perform accident investigations and complete reports
• Ensure building and premises security, monitor security video feeds and respond to alarms
• Respond to various security situations including injuries, medical events, natural disasters, theft, threats, fraud, misconduct and trespassing
• Work in partnership with the Safety and Security Manager and other unit leadership to investigate sensitive issues
• Intake and report injuries slip and falls, near misses and Workers Compensation incidents
• Contribute to an environment where IKEA culture is strong and embraces diversity

• Safety and security experience preferred
• Knowledge of security protocols and alarm system equipment and software monitoring
• Experience with investigation methodology and disaster response
• Strong communication skills
• Computer proficient
• Ability to lift, sit, stand, and walk for length of shift
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
