Job Description

Will be a key part of the materials handling team, focusing on receiving incoming shipments and accurately staging heavy paper products for production. Operating clamp trucks and other forklifts safely and efficiently is a central responsibility of this role.

Job Responsibility

  • Unload incoming shipments from trailers utilizing a clamp truck
  • Check incoming paper rolls and materials against shipping paperwork for quantity and condition
  • Safely operate clamp trucks and other forklifts to move product from the dock to storage or production areas
  • Handle large, heavy, and delicate paper rolls (often weighing around 4,000 lbs) and stack them appropriately — sometimes up to four high
  • Transport and stage material directly to machinery and production zones as requested by production teams
  • Record receipt of goods and note discrepancies such as damage, shortages, or overages
  • Help maintain inventory accuracy and support cycle counts as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Clamp forklift experience with safe, proficient operation of forklifts and similar equipment
  • Prior warehouse experience, especially in receiving and materials handling
  • Ability to handle very heavy products and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices
