Job Description

Our client in Langford is seeking Production Operators to join their team. If you enjoy working in an energetic setting and are ready for a rewarding role, this could be the perfect fit for you! Schedule: Monday to Friday 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM. This is a temporary position to start.

Job Responsibility

  • This position is responsible for the efficient operation of designated production equipment as assigned
  • Removing bottles from racks and putting them on the conveyor to meet production and quality objectives
  • Visually inspecting and removing foreign objects from bottles. Performing odor tests and discarding contaminated bottles
  • Relabel and tag bottles with handle tags
  • Sort and lift empty and full bottles from delivery trucks
  • Responsible for start-up, operation, change over, shut down and preventative maintenance of assigned production equipment. Equipment may include production line equipment, forklifts or other power equipment
  • Operate all assigned equipment safely and efficiently following the Company Safety Policy, including the lock out/tag out process
  • Provide general plant, production line and facility clean up (5S)

Requirements

  • Production experience, preferably in a food and beverage environment
  • Focus on safe work practices and high quality while executing duties with a sense of urgency
  • Work efficiently self-directed or in a team environment
  • Physically able to safely lift bottles and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Forklift experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours and occasional weekends (depending on location)
  • Ability to inspect materials visually and by sense of smell
  • PPE Required (safety shoes, hair nets, goggles, ear plugs)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions (depending on location) that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity. The noise level may be loud at times
