Here, you will find more than just a job—you will find purpose and pride. Baxter are looking for a Warehouse Operator to join our team within our manufacturing division at our Thetford plant. You will be responsible for loading finished goods on site, processing accordingly, and other general Warehouse duties, working proactively as part of a cross functional team. This role is shifts between 6am - 6pm Week 1 – Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun & 6am - 6pm Week 2 – Wed, Thu. We offer a competitive salary and you will also receive a weekly shift allowance of £64.78.

Job Responsibility

  • To receive and book in raw materials
  • Locate raw materials in both Gate 1 and Gate 2 Warehouse as required
  • Process and load Baxter goods and Raw Materials for dispatch
  • To support in day to day running of the Warehouse duties
  • Being able to work as part of cross functional team and learn various jobs in both the Warehouse and Packing areas to support the business
  • Being able to work on their own initiative as and when required
  • To assist routine blind count audits
  • To perform regular routine cleaning tasks on the fork truck fleet and the work area to ensure they are kept clean at all times
  • Comply with EHS/GMP/GDP company & corporate policies and external regulatory requirement
  • Provide cover for colleagues
  • To notify Quality assurance and the Process Leading hands of any deviations from the process
  • Placing orders where needed for Raw Material and items required for Production
  • Replenish Stock locations when needed

Requirements

  • Computer Skills – Familiar and comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
  • Punctual with good attendance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Well organised and task driven
  • Able to work in a GMP environment
  • Quality focused – able to deal with routine, repetitive tasks whilst maintaining good attention to detail
  • Team Working - working as part of a team & sharing workload fairly with a willingness to work co-operatively and supportively in order to solve problems and achieve team targets
  • Maintains high standards of behaviour whilst managing workload
  • Process Orientated - must follow set standards and ways of working
  • Flexible - able to carry out varied tasks often at short notice, adjust break timings around the production, work additional hours and adjust working hours as required by the business
  • Ability to remain calm in a fast paced environment

Nice to have

Forklift experience would be great but we have in house training for this

  • Unload incoming shipments, verify quantities against packing slips, and inspect for damage
  • Properly store received goods in designated warehouse locations using appropriate equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack, hand truck)
  • Accurately pick items from storage locations according to customer orders, pack them securely for shipment, and generate shipping labels
  • Load outgoing shipments onto trucks, ensuring proper documentation and secure loading practices
  • Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories to maintain accurate inventory records
  • Report discrepancies to Leads/supervisor
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment (Internal certification required)
  • Maintain and observe 5S program to ensure all working areas are clean and support lean manufacturing goals
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
