The Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and supply chain processes. This role focuses on the accurate handling, storage, and distribution of pharmaceutical and specialty products while adhering to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
Job Responsibility:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments, ensuring all items are accounted for and meet quality standards
Accurately pick, pack, and prepare shipments for dispatch, ensuring timeliness and compliance with customer requirements
Maintain proper organization and cleanliness of the warehouse, following safety and regulatory guidelines
Conduct regular inventory checks and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy
Update inventory records in the system and report any discrepancies or damages promptly
Monitor stock levels and notify management of low inventory or replenishment needs
Handle temperature-sensitive products according to World Courier’s strict cold chain and quality standards
Ensure compliance with Good Distribution Practices (GDP), ISO standards, and other relevant regulatory requirements
Assist in audits and implement corrective actions as needed
Work closely with other departments, including transportation, customer service, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless delivery of services
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to resolve issues or improve processes
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and temperature-controlled units safely and efficiently
Perform regular equipment checks and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or supply chain environment preferred
Ability to work with warehouse software and systems (e.g., inventory management tools)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to [insert weight limit, e.g., 50 lbs]) as needed
Knowledge of Good Distribution Practices (GDP) or experience in handling temperature-sensitive products is a plus
Certification to operate forklifts or similar equipment (preferred but not mandatory)
Possess a full clean/nearly clean UK driver’s licence which must have been held for a minimum of two years
Able to follow procedures & instructions
Able to provide relevant information on request
Good communication skills – verbally & written
Nice to have:
Knowledge of Good Distribution Practices (GDP) or experience in handling temperature-sensitive products is a plus
