Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative at TATA Steel's expansive Steelpark site. Steelpark is the UK's largest steel distribution and processing centre, uniquely supported by a domestic steel mill.

Job Responsibility:

Adhere to packing specifications based on customer requirements
Operate tooling and material handling equipment
Comply with Health and Safety regulations and encourage others to do the same
Identify and address unsafe conditions or actions
Work flexibly to meet business needs
Recognize product ranges for efficient material selection and processing
Apply continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques
Recommend enhancements to production control procedures
Handle and manage material, including stock records, labelling, and storage in line with commercial and safety standards

Requirements:

Experience in a warehouse or production environment
Background in industrial or production settings
Ability to perform manual handling and stand for extended periods
Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle due to shift times
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of UK Health and Safety regulations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to have:

Experience with SAP
FLT/Counterbalance licence or relevant experience
Skills or qualifications in decoiling, pressing, or cutting
