Job Responsibility
Precision Packing & Labelling: Pack chemicals into various containers, outer packaging, and pallets. Assemble, seal, and label packs accurately to align strictly with UN regulations
Material Verification: Ensure batch numbers and chemical code numbers match labels and product containers perfectly. Use a computer-based system to log finished material transactions
Logistics & Material Handling: Prioritize and safely move chemical containers ranging from sacks and drums up to Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs). Secure completed pallets for transfer to the finished goods warehouse
Quality & Maintenance: Carry out routine inspections, perform basic equipment maintenance, and process returned packaging for reuse
Safety & Continuous Improvement: Maintain a pristine, hazard-free work environment through strict housekeeping and safety protocols. Participate actively in departmental improvement initiatives
Requirements
Safety & Compliance: High awareness of environmental, health, and safety issues, with the ability to follow strict procedures and standard work instructions
Quality Focus: A strong attention to detail to meet rigorous quality standards and delivery timelines
Tech Literacy: Proficiency in navigating computer systems for inventory transactions
Teamwork & Drive: Physically fit, highly motivated, and eager to learn new processes to support team goals
Education: GCSE, A-Level, or Diploma equivalent is considered an advantage
Previous experience working in a production or manufacturing environment
Practical knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
