Job Description

As a Manufacturing Technician I, you will work in a fast-paced environment handling the precision packing, labelling, and movement of chemical materials. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, safety-first individual to build a long-term career with a global industry leader.

Job Responsibility

  • Precision Packing & Labelling: Pack chemicals into various containers, outer packaging, and pallets. Assemble, seal, and label packs accurately to align strictly with UN regulations
  • Material Verification: Ensure batch numbers and chemical code numbers match labels and product containers perfectly. Use a computer-based system to log finished material transactions
  • Logistics & Material Handling: Prioritize and safely move chemical containers ranging from sacks and drums up to Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs). Secure completed pallets for transfer to the finished goods warehouse
  • Quality & Maintenance: Carry out routine inspections, perform basic equipment maintenance, and process returned packaging for reuse
  • Safety & Continuous Improvement: Maintain a pristine, hazard-free work environment through strict housekeeping and safety protocols. Participate actively in departmental improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Safety & Compliance: High awareness of environmental, health, and safety issues, with the ability to follow strict procedures and standard work instructions
  • Quality Focus: A strong attention to detail to meet rigorous quality standards and delivery timelines
  • Tech Literacy: Proficiency in navigating computer systems for inventory transactions
  • Teamwork & Drive: Physically fit, highly motivated, and eager to learn new processes to support team goals
  • Education: GCSE, A-Level, or Diploma equivalent is considered an advantage
  • Previous experience working in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Practical knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
