Job Description:

LV Logistics have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join the team in Southampton! You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return will receive a competitive salary.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure FLT’s are checked daily, recorded on relevant sheets and defects reported
  • Work to standard operating procedures in line with company policy
  • Deal with inbound vehicles following the correct company procedure
  • Ensure safe handling, storage & repacking of all products in line with stock locations
  • High level of care and accuracy with pick operations
  • Load distribution vehicles in a safe, presentable manner and highlight all errors and damages prior to completion
  • Maintain high standards of site housekeeping
  • Maintain high levels of Health and Safety awareness and report any areas of concern to the Supervisor immediately
  • Assist with inventory counting when necessary
  • Put improvement suggestions forward where appropriate
  • Assist other team members as necessary
  • Support Warehouse Team Leader with all day-to-day tasks
  • To action any other elements to fulfil the operational needs of the business
  • Any other reasonable duties as allocated by the Warehouse Supervisor/ Manager

Requirements:

  • Positive, enthusiastic, dedicated and able to fit into a busy and productive team
  • Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics role
  • Forklift licence (essential)
  • Previous exposure to inland freight operations and customs processes
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly across departments
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of warehouse work
  • Comfortable with physical tasks and desk-based work
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 - Excel, Word, Outlook, and internal systems
