Job Description:

Warehouse Operative (LIEBHERR) to join our committed team at our Moulton site in Northampton. This is a Monday - Friday role with a rotating shift pattern of 6:00 - 14:00, 07:00 - 15:00 & 10:00 - 18:00.

Job Responsibility:

  • Tipping and checking of customer freight and returns
  • Freight put away and consolidation ensuring space utilization
  • Picking / Checking and loading shipments
  • Safely handle products, as directed, to achieve the desired result through compliance with all internal processes and procedures
  • As directed, and in accordance with training, appropriately use manual handling equipment and techniques to support the operational processes and requirements when relevant
  • Ensure all health and safety processes and procedures are adhered to, escalating any concerns to your line manager at the earliest opportunity
  • Continually look to improve all operating processes and procedures, communicating with your line manager, to drive improved efficiencies within the operation
  • Ensure any concerns, issues or variances to instructions are immediately communicated to your line manager to allow appropriate action to be taken at the earliest opportunity

Requirements:

  • Good level of general education, including good understanding of both written and verbal English
  • Literate and numerate
  • Previous warehouse experience is an advantage
  • Must be comfortable with manual handling, lifting up to 30kg independently or up to 70kg with 100% MHE or multiple person lift. Awareness of manual handling techniques is desirable (training given)
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good understanding of computer system and RF scanner operations and Microsoft Office Excel as appropriate
  • Attention to detail
  • Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK

Nice to have:

  • Clamp, FLT licences desirable but not essential as training can be given
  • Previous warehouse experience is an advantage
  • Awareness of manual handling techniques is desirable
