We are currently looking for a Warehouse Operative to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working Monday to Friday, 2:00pm - 10:00pm. Please note, some weekend work will be required. The role is based at our Sustainable Distribution Centre (SDC) site in Northampton (NN7 2QA).

Job Responsibility

  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of our Northampton warehouse
  • Perform a variety of tasks and general duties, including the operation of MHE to support operations
  • Work with a strong focus on H&S
  • Safely load and unload trailers
  • Handle goods correctly to ensure minimal damage
  • Complete any relevant paperwork
  • Utilise MHE and automation systems
  • Adhere to all H&S procedures and utilise PPE
  • Complete equipment checks and any risk assessments
  • Seek ways to improve processes and drive efficiency
  • Communicate any concerns or issues to your team leader or manager

Requirements

  • Previous warehouse experience
  • An FLT, counterbalance, reach truck, or pallet stacker licence (A2)
  • Good levels of literacy and numeracy
  • Awareness of manual handling techniques
  • Teamworking skills
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • A good level of general education, including a good understanding of both written and verbal English
  • A full, valid driving licence
