Job Description:

Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of our client in Mallusk who are looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative / Driver on a permanent basis to join their established team. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, your role will be varied, and you will be required to work within all areas of the warehouse and to make deliveries to customers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensuring efficient and accurate deliveries of DLF customer orders
  • Ensure Kanban's are properly maintained to Company & the Customers` agreed standard
  • Efficient monitoring and management of stock at customer premises, practising FIFO
  • Report any issues with the Kanban systems
  • Making deliveries to point of use with NI & ROI customers
  • Promote good customer relationships
  • Ensure Health & Safety is not compromised
  • Ensure good housekeeping within the warehouse
  • Adopt all Company policies and philosophies
  • Maintain excellent communication and teamwork
  • Understand performance targets and aim to achieve them
  • Act as responsible team member
  • Participate in appraisals, company initiatives & team meetings
  • Undertake any other duties as defined by management
  • Picking and packing orders and dispatch activities accurately
  • Moving stock by hand, using lifting gear or forklift
  • Checking for damaged or missing items
  • Loading goods for dispatch
  • Storing goods to ensure accurate location
  • Keeping records of stock
  • Keeping paperwork up to date
  • Taking delivery of goods and supplies

Requirements:

  • previous warehouse experience
  • valid driver's licence
  • forklift licence would also be beneficial
  • ability to work as part of a team and alone
  • flexible attitude to start and finish times
  • ability to work overtime at short notice
