Job Description

The Warehouse Operative is responsible for carrying out any role required of them within the warehouse environment. This can range from picking and packing of orders within the automated system, the medical bulk area, the fridge area and secure areas, whilst if required, carrying out roles within the transport environment. They are responsible for the overall processing of the customer orders efficiently and at the agreed company rate.

Job Responsibility

  • Accurately assemble items from pick documentation
  • Ensure quantity picked is accurate
  • Avoid damage and use appropriate bin/packaging
  • Report all damages to line team leader
  • Report pick face errors immediately
  • Report visible errors within the warehouse environment immediately
  • Inform line team leader of problems with a particular line/area
  • Assemble hospital orders and give to hospital checker
  • Assemble special check orders and give to special checker
  • Pick Medical Bulk, Fridge & Secure area orders following specific criteria
  • Respond to errors immediately
  • Bring unusual quantities to attention of line team leader
  • Report suspected/actual issues relating to an order
  • Report issues relating to transport activities
  • Maintain awareness of Health & Safety procedures
  • Keep warehouse area clean and tidy

Requirements

Any previous experience of working in a warehouse environment would be highly desirable.
