Job Description:

IKEA Gateshead are looking to welcome Warehouse Operatives with Forklift Driving experience to join our hard-working early morning fulfilment team. We’re actively seeking Warehouse Assistants to play a crucial role in goods receiving, managing deliveries, and ensuring smooth operations. If you perform best in physically challenging environments and have a great eye for accuracy, we look forward to reviewing your application!

Job Responsibility:

Undertaking manual handling activities daily in a lively and physically demanding workplace
Goods receiving, ensuring products are available to customers by ensuring tasks in your area are completed accurately and in a timely manner
Operate and work around heavy machinery, such as forklift trucks, counterbalance, and pump trucks, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse
Recycling different waste streams with the use of compactors
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure environment for both customers and co-workers
Replenishment of the store, making sure all the shelves are full and ready for our customers

Requirements:

Warehouse and forklift truck driving experience is preferred, but not essential
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize workload efficiently, with a keen attention to detail
Experience in using technical equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency
Highly motivated and capable of working both alone and as part of a team
Health and safety regulations require applicants to be 18 years of age or older
